FLA hosted a webinar April 20 with SilviaTerra to inform our network of private landowners about voluntary carbon market opportunities for working forests of all sizes through SilviaTerra’s Natural Capital Exchange (NCAPX) program. FLA strives to provide private forest landowners with information that will assist them with reaching the economic and environmental management goals on their property, and we thank SilviaTerra for taking the time to inform our network of forest landowners about opportunities to monetize the standing carbon stocks on their forests.
The webinar was attended by over 230 forest stakeholders.
“The emerging market of carbon credits offers tremendous opportunities for private landowners to monetize the environmental services that their working forests provide,” said CEO Scott Jones. “The participation during this webinar shows that landowners are eager to learn more about a market previously viewed as complex, restrictive, or overwhelming. We are glad to connect our network of landowners with those resources and to help find innovative climate solutions that benefit private forest landowners.”
