Building Relationships
Our timber talks and forest forums, bring forestry stakeholders (government agencies, environmental and wildlife NGOs, and business consumers) into the woods to experience how private working forests are managed.
What We Do
The Why
We do forest forums and timber talks to demonstrate how forest landowners create, maintain, and improve habitat on their property every day, while also generating a timber supply.
The Impact
Taking to the woods allows you to share the work being done on the ground and the private forest landowners’ commitment to the stewardship of their land. By seeing the work first-hand trust and understanding are established with constituents.
The Outcome
Through this hands-on learning policymakers, environmental stakeholders and corporate decision-makers gain insight into how rulemaking, regulations, and/or purchasing decisions impact a landowner’s ability to own and manage their forests.
