The value of membership in the Forest Landowners Association (FLA) is defined by the result that its benefits provide: the sustainability of private forestland ownership. These benefits give private forest landowners direct access to top experts and service and product providers in forestry who furnish the knowledge they require to make informed management decisions that safeguard their forestland investments, national policy advocacy that protects and enhances the value of all private forestlands across the United States, security for the assets that their responsible stewardship has yielded, as well as connection to and support of other private forest landowners in 48 states owning or operating over 40 million acres of private forestland.

FLA’s membership is composed of private forest landowners, Timberland Investment Management Organizations (TIMOs), Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), forestry consultants, universities, students, forest products companies, and other professionals in the forestry community.
